So here’s the spell: take 1 part Julie Taylor, 1 part Jewel Daisy, add in Blue Hissy Highness, stir in some Stone Spelling, and sprinkle with a Titty Bitty and Nutty Buddy…or two. Welcome to the witchy world of mood magic.

I’m the Certified Crystal Healer and Reiki Master behind the Blue Hissy Highness picture book series. Jewel Daisy is my pen name. I love the magical mood of jewels, daisies and the color pink, and I love using crystals to help stay true to the mood I choose.

Under the Jewel Daisy name, I write rhyming, magical stories about a royally hissy chuckwalla whose growing crystal collection helps her shift her moods--and inspires readers to do the same. And I named my business Pink Jewel Daisy, because words are their own magic, and those three words together feel enchanted.

I also write as Julie Taylor, and I dreamed up Stone Spelling™, my witchy word for casting spells using crystals and words. As a stone speller, I write stone spells—sometimes rhyming, sometimes not—and pair them with stones to shift energy in directions I choose. I also trademarked Titty Bitty™ and Nutty Buddy™, playful names for the tiny crystals in my spell kits, each curated for a specific mood.

I was trained in crystal healing by Hibiscus Moon, a former science department chair who brought physics and crystal healing together in a grounded, accessible, and spiritual way. While there’s no formal governing body for energy work, I’ve spent years deepening my practice through study, intuition, and hands-on experience.

At the heart of everything I create (books, spells, poems) is one simple idea: mood is magic and crystals and words help shift it.

True story...I never leave the house without a crystal on my finger, around my neck, or tucked in my bra. Some days, I'm locked and loaded with all three.
